Jessica Fulton is an economist and policy consultant. A recognized leader at the intersection of artificial intelligence, economic transformation, and workforce equity, Jessica’s work focuses on shaping policies to advance economic opportunity—particularly for Black communities and other historically marginalized groups.

 

Previously, Jessica helped to lead the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, America's Black Think Tank, as its Interim President and Vice President of Policy, where she oversaw efforts to shape policies affecting emerging technologies, workforce, and the economy to advance shared economic prosperity. Before joining the Joint Center, Jessica served as External Relations Director, where she collaborated with researchers to deepen policymakers’ understanding of how systemic economic inequality harms long-term economic growth.  She has also held key research and advocacy positions at the DC Fiscal Policy Institute and the Chicago Urban League.

 

Jessica is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Sadie Collective, which promotes the advancement of Black women in economics and data science. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in Economic Policy Analysis from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.
